Problem

My application has Header component that has some list items.

In my Header, I'm tracking the status of list displaying using isActive property.

This is my part of the source code.

It’s work, but there is one problem. Although route is changed, menu is displayed until I’ll click button.

What I want?

When route is changed, isActive property will be changed to false.

Solution

In Nuxt.js(and vue.js), there is watch property for observing value's change.

I’ll modify my previous source code to observe the change of the route.

Through this 5 lines simple code, you will be able to observe route change.

Default Event Handler

You can listen any event on an element with the on: directive.

Inline Event Handler

You can omit quotes of the handler, but for highlighting syntax, it’s recommend to add quotes in front of / at the end of the handler.

In some frameworks, inline event handlers are anti-pattern because of their performance reason. But in Svelte, inline event handler is not anti-pattern, becasue it runs in build time!

Introduction

Svelte is a tool for building fast web applications. It’s similar to React and Vue as tool for easy building web applications, but there’s a difference.

Logo of the Svelte

Svelte runs at build time.

This difference secures Svelte’s high speed. Svelte doesn’t need long first loading time, and browser don’t pay the cost to use Svelte.

So using Svelte, you can add Svelte based source code to existing application easily. …
